Safeguarding and Contact with other Professionals
Brent Centre therapists operate at the highest level of professional practice, with rigorous safeguarding procedures, and a stringent code of ethics. To maintain the highest levels of care it is important for the Brent Centre to be in contact with the family and as appropriate a young person’s GP, so the GP is aware of treatment and can work with the Brent Centre to coordinate care.
The Brent Centre will not divulge any information about any aspect of the patient’s care without having discussed and agreed this with the young person’s parent/carer beforehand. The only exceptions to this rule are outlined in our ‘Confidentiality’ clause above.
