Katherine Shillito trained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor & Psychotherapist for Children & Adolescents at Birkbeck, University of London.
Prior to this Katherine worked for several years as an assistant SENCo in an independent school. Since qualifying as a therapist, Katherine has specialised in work with adolescents at the Brent Centre for Young People, including leading outreach projects in two secondary schools and working as part of the Youth Offending Service project. She is also part of the research team at the Brent Centre and is involved in the development of pro-jects to further understanding of young people's mental health.
Katherine is a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council and the British Association of Counsellor and Psychotherapists.
