Adam Kay trained as a Child & Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic in a team that specialises in autism.
Since qualifying he has specialised in treating adolescents and young adults. He has worked at the Brent Centre for Young People since 2009, working in a wide range of settings, including the Schools Service, the Youth Offending Service, managing the pioneering Sport and Thought football therapy project as well as conducting weekly and intensive psychotherapy within the In-house clinic.
Adam has contributed to the Centre’s research projects. He has also presented at workshops at conferences. Adam has taught on the pre-clinical training programme at the Tavistock and provides clinical supervision to other psychotherapists.
Adam is a qualified psychoanalyst having trained at the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
